D.C. police search for man suspected of killing two in Scorpion gear

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with the death of two people at a downtown hotel in an apparent robbery gone bad.

Police said Monday that the suspected gunman, identified as 27-year-old Brandon C. Gorman, is wanted for the shooting death of 32-year to 40-year old David D. Johnson and the wounding of 35-year woman and mother, Tanya Johnson.

Gorman is the father of Tanya and David Johnson.

Police said he was last seen wearing a black, dark blue jacket and dark pants, black and white shoes and a dark, gray sweatshirt.

Police were searching for the suspect and said the shooting is under investigation.

The victims, identified Monday as David Johnson, Tasha Johnson and 34-year man, Brian K. Williams, were sitting inside the Hotel Dupont when Gorman got into a white, four-door sedan and drove away.

Police described the suspect as a white male wearing a blue shirt and dark-colored pants.

He was carrying a handgun, police said.

He left the scene on foot and has not been seen or heard from since.
