TSA to buy Marpat Rain Gear

TSA said on Tuesday it will buy Marit Rain Gear, a maker of rain jackets and rain gear that is currently owned by American Outdoor Brands.

The purchase comes as American Outdoor’s business is hit by a series of legal challenges and legal battles over patent infringement, patents and trademarks, and the company faces mounting criticism for its handling of the Zika virus outbreak.TSA said the Marpat-branded products will be sold through Tampax and Outdoor Gear and that the acquisition is contingent on Tampacraft, a subsidiary of Tampas International Inc., completing its sale to American Outdoor.

Tampacro’s share price has fallen to $1.40 a share after dropping to around $3.50 on Tuesday.

Tashfeen Malik, a spokeswoman for American Outdoor, declined to comment on the acquisition.
